Belmont Sobeys has supported EdmontonEats since its inception. Jerry MacLachlan, Manager and Owner of the Belmont Sobeys, is generous with his time and support of community events in North East Edmonton. Jerry is respected by community members for his constant interest and support of North East Edmonton communities. Belmont Sobeys donated gift cards for all events and provided ticket subsidy for the Flavours of Somalia.
Jacquie DuVal of Plated Public Relations helped spread the word about EdmontonEats through her various networks within the local food community in Edmonton. As a tireless advocate for Edmonton’s local food scene, she believes in supporting new initiatives like EdmontonEats, to help create a wonderful, vibrant local food scene.
Katie Dooley, Chief Design Officer of Paper Lime Creative. Paper Lime specializes in branding, logo design, as well as print and graphic design. Katie created the logo for EdmontonEats. She continues to generously offer her time and talents creating “a look” for events. Katie’s values align with the community work that EdmontonEats seeks to accomplish and believes the social enterprise concept can truly help newcomer marginalized communities enter the job market.
The Bedouins Restaurant, located in North Edmonton provides some of the finest Arabian cuisine in Edmonton. Emad Gaddafi, the owner of the restaurant has been connected with EdmontonEats since the first event. Emad set up a tea pouring station during the Taste of Libya. He has offered his support in any way he can help. Emad is a generous and welcoming restaurant partner.
Culina-to- Go offers individual and family-sized meals (hot, cold and frozen) to enjoy on the go! Their focus is fast and fresh comfort food with an emphasis on local ingredients from local purveyors. Brad Lazarenko owner of Culina To Go, Culina at the Muttart and Culina at the Lake is one of our restaurant partners. This has included providing space for pick up of EdmontonEats products and providing gift cards to our guests as prizes for some of our activities.
Al Madina is a family-owned and operated grocer full of wonderful ingredients, halal meats, serving ware, sweets and pre-made foods. The next best thing to travelling in our opinion! They provided spices for the awesome dish from Libya in our Cultural Holiday Box.
